Welcome to the third issue of our e-newsletter

Dear PERSIST-SEQ colleagues, funders, and subscribers, 

Happy New Year! 

We are pleased to share the latest updates and milestones achieved within the PERSIST-SEQ consortium. 

The last two years have been particularly productive. Our teams have continued to generate and analyze large-scale single-cell datasets across tumor types, in an effort to deepen our understanding of how cancer cells persist and adapt under therapeutic pressure. Collaborative work between academic and industry partners has led to new insights, strengthened technical pipelines, and built a growing foundation of data that can help inform future translational research. 

The project has also made progress in communicating these advances across the scientific community — from publications and video features to a vibrant in-person meeting in Cambridge. These moments of collaboration underscore the importance of our shared goal: developing new strategies to overcome cancer therapy resistance. 

As we move into 2026, PERSIST-SEQ will continue to translate its growing data resource into biological insight and actionable therapeutic hypotheses. Upcoming priorities include: 

• advancing the integration of multi-omics datasets;
• strengthening data analysis pipelines across partners;
• preparing joint publications; and
• continuing to share knowledge through meetings, international and stakeholder outreach. 

Together, we remain committed to advancing cancer research and enabling discoveries that bring us closer to overcoming therapeutic resistance. 

We thank all partners for their continued commitment and look forward to another year of impactful discoveries.
